Russell Lee Bowers Sr.

Russell Lee Bowers Sr, 72, of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on January 22, 2024. Russell was born on May 11, 1951, to Pete and Ruth Bowers. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer and Butch Bowers.

Russell leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Russell (Amber) Bowers Jr.; stepson, Chuck (Jen) Thomas; grandchildren, Dakota Bowers, Tye Bowers and Dylan Thomas; great grandchildren, Hudson E. Bowers; siblings, Bob Bowers, Nancy Shaw and Linda Griffith; as well as several other friends and family.

Russell loved woodworking, often doing remodeling. Russ worked for the city of Zanesville school board for 30 years as a carpenter. He was always known for loving his Pepsi and coffee. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Per Russell’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. You may visit with the family for a memorial gathering on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
