Sharon Minnie (Lucas) Alexander

Sharon Minnie Alexander, 72, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Genesis Hospital. Sharon was born April 2, 1951 in Cutler, Ohio, daughter of the late Haley M. (Harris) and Harry E. Lucas. In addition to her parents, Minnie is also preceded in death by her siblings, Charles "Bob" Lucas, Geneva "Jenny" McCuen, Blanche Hill, Harry "Joe" Lucas, James "Archie" Lucas, Maxine Dansby and Martha Lucas; as well as a beloved grandson, Ashton. 

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Lance Alexander; her cherished children, Wendy (Jessie) Martin, Ray (Melony) Alexander, Thorne (Stephanie) Staunton, Lisa Davis and Allen Alexander; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bessie Francis, Viola "Sue" Flowers, Alan "Bill" (Melinda) Lucas, Constance "Anne" Mayle, Mary "Ann" (William) Thompson and Verna "Belle" Tetsela; many nieces and nephews; her special pet dog, Allison; and a host of cousins, other family members and many friends.

Minnie loved to be outdoors tending her garden. She was always known to be the teller of a good story. Sharon enjoyed baking delectable treats for her loved ones. She loved being in the sun and maintaining her pool. More than anything, Sharon loved time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

You may call on the family Friday, April 28, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Graveside burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Southland Cemetery, Southland Cemetery Rd, Cutler, Ohio. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
