Virginia Lynn Pettiford

Virginia Lynn Pettiford, 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Virginia was born January 6, 1960 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late George and Catherine L. (Hill) Pettiford, Sr. In addition to her parents, Virginia is also preceded in death by her daughter, April Dawn Pettiford; grandson, Semaj James; twin sister, Vivian Pettiford Clifford; sisters, Sandra Kay Pettiford and Betty Ann Pettiford; brothers, Richard Pettiford and George Pettiford, Jr.;  nieces, Koeta Pettiford and Autumn Beatty; and nephew, Burkey Jackson.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved sons, Terrance Pettiford (Kierra Davis) , Tylee and Felicia Pettiford, and her bonus-son, Donald Fullum; 3 step-children, Robby Harris, Orlando Harris and Cheina Harris; grandchildren, Semia, Semonte, Saequan, Lorenzo and Kipria; siblings, Marilyn, Marlene, Shelly (Alberto), Robin (James), Veronica (Terry), and Ronald (Miriam); brother-in-law, Marcus Burke; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Lorenzo Glover; caregiver and friend, Ms. Tu; and a host of other family members and friends.
Virginia was a wonderful cook, she loved to prepare meals for those she loved. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In her free time, Virginia enjoyed reading and studying her Bible and listening to Gospel music. She also enjoyed watching her favorite old western programs on T.V. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and more. She will be deeply missed.
You may call on the family Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Minister Donald Fullum officiating. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
