James Robert Balderson, 74,  went to be with the Lord after a sudden death, July 9, 2016. He went to be with the Lord at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born July 24, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Nolan and Eva Balderson.
Jim was formerly of Zanesville.  He loved flying and was a member of the EAA and AOPA.  He had also served in the Army Reserves.  Jim was previous part-owner of Balderson Motor Sales and former owner of the Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken Restaurant in Zanesville.  He was a faithful member of the Faith Baptist Church in Greenville South Carolina.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Cheryl of 51 years, whom he married August 29, 1964; three children, including one son, Drew Balderson and two daughters, Erin Balderson (John) Matthews and Beth Ann Balderson all of Greenville South Carolina; two grandchildren, twins John and Kate; one brother, Bill (Kathy) Balderson  and two nephews, Troy and Tom Balderson.
You may call on the family at viewing Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle Street, Zanesville, OH.  Funeral service will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed at burrellfuneralservices.com.  BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
