Know that others share in your loss and that Mrs. Leona has been re-united with the loved one who have went before her, walking the streets of gold where there is nothing but love to behold. One sweet day the wheel will be completely filled. She was a lady filled with joy and shared her smile with all those around. Keep the faith and look towards the hill God sees YOU. Just a couple of weeks ago we were talking on the phone about Virginia and how you wold drive the family here for a Reunion . . . never knew there would be a drive so soon. Take care and see you in Zanesville next time around.

To the family of Ms Leona, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." It is morning time for your beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend! One of my last remaining Turner Street mothers, she was as sweet and kind as she was beautiful. I thank God she was part of, "my village!" While I was not able to be with you in person, I was, and will be holding you close in my heart and prayers. May our Lord and Savior, Jesus The Christ, bring you peace and comfort today and in the days ahead. Love and blessings always, Gloria

Leona became a very good friend from the day I moved to Zanesville. We only lived a few houses apart but we were always I touch. We were in church every Sunday for many years. I will cherish her memory as long as God gives me strength. Leona was a beautiful woman and she was as friendly as she was beautiful.

Leona, my sister, together we’ve shared so many of life’s ups and downs. We’ve been each other’s support through every turn of life. I will miss our daily conversations and will treasure our memories shared. You are my best friend, my mentor, and my confidante. I will always cherish our memories.
It’s been a blessing walking through life growing with you from a child to a great-grandparent. I thank you for always being there for me and my family, as I will always be there for yours.
Today we celebrate your life and we remember a fine woman who carried on our family legacy with grace, strength, and wisdom.
My only hope is that our legacy continues to respect, inspire, learn from and grow with each other.
